Okan Oncel, Principal - AIA, LEED AP, NCARB
POP is a culmination of architect Okan Oncel's two-decade career in design and construction. Okan completed his bachelor's and master's degrees at the Catholic University of America, and in 2007 he moved to New York City to assume increasingly important positions at Rafael Viñoly Architects and SOM. In these roles, Oncel managed and oversaw designs as diverse as a hospitality complex in Abu Dhabi; the Edward Kennedy Institute in Boston; an academic and administrative facility in California; a research center at Penn State; and office, residential, mixed-use towers throughout Southeast Asia including a skyscraper in Seoul, Korea. At POP, Okan is designing both large scale projects and single family residential with an elevated attention to detail, disciplined technical rigor and hands on, client-focused approach.
